The SSI Deep Diving specialty trains you to dive safely to a maximum of 40m, opening up Zanzibar's deeper walls and wrecks. You build depth experience on northern reefs and Matemwe slopes that fall toward 40m, plus the deeper Stone Town navy wreck, all in clear, warm Indian Ocean water.

The SSI Deep Diver pathway

SSI delivers Deep Diving academics on its digital platform, with the dives logged under an SSI professional. The specialty certifies you to the recreational maximum of 40m and contributes toward SSI Specialty Diver and Master Diver recognition.

Zanzibar's deep diving lies on the northern reefs and Matemwe slopes that drop toward 40m, plus the deeper navy wreck off Stone Town near 30m. The calm, clear July-to-February season is ideal for working to depth.
