SSI Try Scuba lets you take your first breaths underwater on Mauritius's calm west coast. After a friendly briefing in the sheltered Flic-en-Flac lagoon, an instructor guides you on a shallow dive to around 12 metres among clownfish, parrotfish and reef life. No prior experience or certification is needed to give scuba a go.
SSI Try Scuba is an introductory experience rather than a certification, recorded digitally in the SSI app. The skills can count toward the SSI Open Water Diver course should you choose to continue.
Try Scuba takes place in the sheltered Flic-en-Flac lagoon and on shallow nearby reef, where calm 23-28C water and gentle conditions, best November to April, make for an easy first underwater experience.
