Take your first underwater breaths with the SSI Try Scuba experience in Papua New Guinea, exploring the warm, sheltered shallows of Kimbe Bay under close instructor supervision. After a short briefing and a few basic skills, you glide over coral reefs busy with anemonefish and turtles, with no certification or prior experience required. It is a relaxed introduction to one of the world's premier diving regions.
SSI Try Scuba is an introductory experience rather than a certification. With SSI's digital tools, the skills you complete can carry over toward the SSI Open Water Diver course if you continue training.
The Try Scuba experience uses Kimbe Bay's calm, warm island shallows. The 27-30°C water and easy conditions let beginners settle and spot anemonefish and turtles, best in the dry season from May to October.
