Course overview

Take your first breaths underwater with the SSI Try Scuba experience on Thailand's Phi Phi Islands, with no prior experience or certification required. A short briefing and a few basic skills in shallow, calm water lead into a guided dive over Phi Phi's coral gardens with an instructor at your side. It is a relaxed, low-pressure way to find out whether scuba diving is for you.

What you’ll learn

• Breathe naturally underwater on scuba equipment
• Equalise pressure and clear your mask
• Recover and clear your regulator
• Stay balanced with basic buoyancy control
• Use simple underwater hand signals

Prerequisites

• No experience or swimming certification required
• Minimum age 10
• Reasonable health and comfort in water (short medical questionnaire)
• Willing to follow basic in-water instructions
