Earn your first leadership rating with the SSI Dive Guide / Divemaster programme in Ambon on the Banda Sea, training amid world-famous critter and muck sites. Using the SSI digital learning system you develop guiding, briefing and supervision skills around sites like the Twilight Zone and Coral Gardens, finishing certified to lead certified divers and support instructors.
SSI delivers professional training through the digital MySSI platform at authorised Training Centres. The SSI Divemaster rating is the first professional level and a stepping stone toward the SSI Open Water Instructor programme; it lets you guide certified divers and assist instructors.
You train across Ambon Bay's muck and reef sites, including the Twilight Zone, Coral Gardens and a local wreck, in warm 27-29°C water with moderate currents that build leadership ability. Bay diving runs year-round, with the open Banda Sea best in March-April and September-November.
