SSI's flexible, experience-based pathway suits the island's busy training scene, letting candidates build genuine guiding hours in the warm 28-30C Gulf across sites from shallow Mango Bay to the deeper Chumphon Pinnacle.
The SSI Dive Guide and Divemaster ratings are SSI's first professional levels, managed through the MySSI digital platform and recognised worldwide. They lead toward the SSI Instructor Training Course.
Guiding practice spans Koh Tao's sheltered bays like Mango Bay and Japanese Gardens through to deeper sites such as Chumphon Pinnacle and White Rock. The Gulf stays warm at 28-30C all year, with the best conditions from March to May.
