Earn your first SSI professional rating with the SSI Dive Guide and Divemaster path in Komodo, guiding certified divers through current-swept seamounts and manta cleaning stations. Across a multi-week internship you build the current-reading and dive-leadership skills Komodo demands, leading groups at sites such as the Golden Passage and Mawan. You finish ready to supervise dives, assist instructors and work as a dive professional worldwide.
SSI splits the leadership pathway into Dive Guide and then Divemaster ratings, certified through the digital MySSI system. The Divemaster rating qualifies you to guide certified divers and assist instructors, and is the step before SSI instructor training.
Training spans the Komodo National Park, from the relaxed turtle highway of Siaba Besar to the drifts of the Golden Passage and the manta cleaning station at Mawan, with candidates learning to time tides through the April-to-November dry season.
