Begin your dive-pro journey with the SSI Divemaster (Dive Guide) programme at Kovalam on Kerala's Arabian Sea coast. Guiding certified divers across the warm Kovalam reef and rehearsing in the school's training quarry, you develop the leadership, mapping and dive-management skills SSI requires. The rating lets you work as a certified dive guide at SSI centres worldwide.
SSI's professional path runs Dive Guide then Divemaster, delivered through authorised SSI Training Centres and the SSI digital platform. The Divemaster rating is recognised internationally and is the prerequisite for the SSI instructor pathway.
Guiding internships and workshops run on the warm reef and shore sites off Kovalam in the Arabian Sea and the inland training quarry near Ernakulam. The post-monsoon season, about October to March, gives warm 27-30°C water and the calmest conditions for logging dives.
