Step into your first professional rating as a SSI Divemaster in north-male-atoll, working alongside instructors across the atoll's house reefs, channels and drift sites. This internship develops your dive-leadership, supervision and mapping skills over an extended programme. You finish qualified to guide certified divers and assist on courses worldwide.
The SSI Divemaster (Dive Guide) runs through SSI's MySSI platform and requires Diver Stress & Rescue plus the logged-dive minimums. It is the entry point to the SSI professional pathway.
Your internship spans north-male-atoll's house reefs for skill work and its channels and drift sites for guiding practice, giving you real experience of managing groups in moderate current. The diving season peaks from November to April, when visibility is best across the atoll's channels and reefs. Water stays warm at 27-30°C year-round, with moderate currents on the channel sites.
