Course overview

Gain internationally recognised CPR and first-aid skills with the SSI React Right course on Grand Cayman, the safety-training foundation behind the SSI Diver Stress & Rescue and Divemaster pathways. This classroom and dry-practice program covers primary care, secondary care and oxygen provision, so it is easy to schedule alongside boat dives during your island trip. No diving experience or swimming ability is needed.

What you’ll learn

• Perform adult CPR and rescue breathing
• Provide primary care for a non-breathing patient
• Deliver secondary care and first aid for injury and illness
• Administer emergency oxygen to an injured diver
• Use an AED and protective barriers
• Conduct patient assessment under pressure

Prerequisites

• No diving experience or swimming ability required
• No minimum age for participation (certification typically from age 10+)
• Open to divers and non-divers
• No medical clearance required for the classroom course
