SSI Enriched Air Nitrox is a theory-based specialty delivered through MySSI. Practical cylinder analysis is done on site, and it counts toward SSI specialty recognition.
Nitrox is especially useful on north-male-atoll's multi-dive days, extending bottom time on the channel and reef sites where mantas, reef sharks and turtles gather. The diving season peaks from November to April, when visibility is best across the atoll's channels and reefs. Water stays warm at 27-30°C year-round, with moderate currents on the channel sites.
