SSI Freediving in Rasdhoo Atoll introduces breath-hold diving in rare conditions: flat-calm water, 27-30°C temperatures, visibility above 25 metres and a wall that drops from 5 to 30 metres. From your first Try Freediving session to the structured Level 1 program, you learn relaxation, breathing and equalisation techniques and finish able to descend confidently on a single breath.
SSI Freediving runs from the introductory Try Freediving session through structured Level 1, 2 and 3 certifications, all delivered via the SSI digital platform. Level 1 typically introduces depths to around 16 metres with proper relaxation, equalisation and buddy-safety technique.
Freediving makes the most of Rasdhoo's calm, clear water and the reef wall that drops steeply from about 5 to 30 metres just off the island, which gives an ideal natural training line. The flat conditions and warm water of the November-to-April season suit relaxed breath-hold practice.
