Course overview

Make the most of your certification with guided SSI fun dives from Cairns, exploring the Great Barrier Reef on day trips and liveaboards to outer sites like Flynn, Milln and Thetford. Dives are matched to your level, taking certified divers to recreational depths of up to 30 metres among turtles, reef sharks, cuttlefish and coral gardens. Operators can also run a single intro or certified dive if you want a relaxed taste of the reef.

Prerequisites

• A recognised certification such as SSI Open Water Diver or higher
• Depth access according to your certification level (up to 30 metres for Advanced)
• Reasonable recent dive experience or a refresher if you have not dived recently
• Diver medical clearance signed where any health condition applies

   Guided reef dives

   Join a day trip or liveaboard to outer reef sites such as Flynn or Thetford Reef for a guided certified dive (or a single intro dive), with depth matched to your level and a guide pointing out turtles, reef sharks and cuttlefish.
