Course overview

Go from complete beginner to certified dive professional on Thailand's Phi Phi Islands with the SSI Go Pro pathway, ending as an SSI Divemaster ready to guide and assist on courses. Over an extended internship in the Phi Phi marine park you log dive after dive on limestone walls, coral gardens and swim-throughs, building the experience that turns a new diver into a confident dive leader. It is the direct route from your first breaths underwater to a globally recognised professional rating.

What you’ll learn

• Master core scuba skills and stress-free buoyancy through repeated diving
• Plan, organise and lead dives as a certified Dive Guide / Divemaster
• Assist instructors with students in confined and open water
• Apply dive theory, physics and physiology to real dive planning
• Conduct dive-site mapping, briefings and supervision
• Build the logged-dive experience needed for professional ratings

Prerequisites

• Minimum age 18 for the Divemaster rating
• Able to swim and comfortable in the water (entry-level start, no prior certification required)
• Reasonable physical fitness for repeated daily diving
• Diver medical clearance signed by a physician
• Sufficient time on-island to complete the full internship (several weeks)

Day-by-day itinerary

1. Day1
   Learn to dive

   Complete the Open Water Diver course and your first certified dives in the calm Phi Phi bays.
2. Day2
   Build experience

   Progress through Advanced Adventurer and specialties, logging dives on walls and coral gardens.
3. Day3
   Rescue & emergency care

   Complete Stress and Rescue plus first-aid training to become a safety-minded diver.
4. Day4
   Divemaster training

   Study dive theory, lead briefings, map sites and assist instructors with real students.
5. Day5
   Assessment & certification

   Pass leadership, water-skills and theory assessments to qualify as an SSI Divemaster.
