Course overview

Train as an SSI Open Water Instructor in Dahab, using the protected Lighthouse and Mashraba bays for repeatable teaching practice in warm, clear Red Sea water. The destination's predictable conditions and short surface intervals between shore sites let you rehearse demonstrations until each one meets instructor standard.

Prerequisites

• 18+ years old
• SSI Divemaster/Dive Guide or equivalent leadership rating
• Logged dive experience per SSI professional standards
• Current first aid and CPR
• Diver medical signed by a physician

Day-by-day itinerary

1. Day1
   ITC Orientation

   Review SSI standards, the diamond system and training schedule.
2. Day2
   Academic & Confined Teaching

   Practise classroom and pool-skill presentations.
3. Day3
   Open-Water Teaching

   Run open-water presentations at sheltered Mashraba and Lighthouse.
4. Day4
   Instructor Evaluation

   Complete the final teaching and theory evaluation.
