Step up to teaching with the SSI Open Water Instructor programme in Malta and Gozo, a Mediterranean professional-training base with strong wreck and reef diving. Working from the calm shore sites around Cirkewwa and the sheltered bays of Gozo, you develop the SSI teaching method and dive-leadership skills needed to certify your own students. You graduate as an SSI Open Water Instructor, qualified to teach the full range of recreational scuba diving programmes.
SSI certifications are issued through an authorised SSI Training Centre, and the Open Water Instructor rating is awarded after a standardised Instructor Evaluation. The SSI pathway is fully digital, so you learn to certify and manage students through the SSI online platform.
Training takes place at calm, shallow shore sites around Cirkewwa and the protected bays of Gozo such as Xlendi, where the settled summer conditions and clear water suit rehearsing your teaching before evaluation.
