Course overview

Understand the reef you dive with the SSI Marine Ecology & Fish Identification programme in Fiji, drawing on the biodiversity of Beqa Lagoon and Pacific Harbour. Through classroom-led, expert instruction you learn to identify Fiji's reef fish, invertebrates and turtles and to understand how its soft-coral ecosystems work. It adds to every future dive and supports the conservation of these reefs.

SSI Marine Ecology & Fish Identification is primarily a classroom-based specialty delivered through the SSI digital platform. It counts toward SSI specialty recognition and pairs naturally with reef dives.
