The SSI Night Diving & Limited Visibility specialty typically requires two night dives and counts toward SSI Specialty Diver and Master Diver recognition. Training is delivered through the SSI digital platform.
Night dives run over the Kovalam reef in the Arabian Sea, where nocturnal reef fish, the occasional turtle, barracuda, octopus, lionfish, moray eels and stingrays emerge after dark. Warm 27-30°C water and the calm post-monsoon season, about October to March, suit evening diving.
