SSI Open Water Diver is an internationally recognised entry-level certification earned through a digital learning platform, qualifying you to dive independently with a buddy to 18 metres. Academics can be completed online before arrival.
Open-water dives use the Belize Barrier Reef off San Pedro, including the sheltered Hol Chan Marine Reserve. Clear water, gentle current and rich marine life through the April-to-November peak make good training conditions.
