SSI Science of Diving is a theory specialty recorded in MySSI. It counts as a specialty toward Master Diver recognition and provides the academic foundation expected of SSI Dive Guides and Divemasters.
Science of Diving is mainly classroom and MySSI based at the Phuket dive centre, with optional application dives on sheltered reefs such as Kata to put the theory into practice.
