Course overview

The SSI Scuba Diver course on Mauritius's sheltered west coast gets you certified faster, a recognised qualification to dive to 12 metres with a professional. Training from Flic-en-Flac, you learn core skills in the calm lagoon and dive shallow reefs full of clownfish and parrotfish. SSI's digital theory lets you start the academics before your trip and certify quickly.

Prerequisites

• No experience required
• Minimum age 10 (Junior) or 15
• Basic swimming ability and water comfort
• Able to complete a medical questionnaire (clearance if any condition applies)

Day-by-day itinerary

1. Day1
   Theory and confined water

   Complete the first SSI knowledge sections and core confined-water skills in the Flic-en-Flac lagoon.
2. Day2
   Open-water dives

   Open-water training dives to 12 metres on a shallow west-coast reef, then certification.
