The SSI Scuba Diver certification in Muscat is a shortened version of Open Water training for those with limited time, earned in Oman's calm coastal water. Using SSI's digital theory you complete the core knowledge and confined-water sessions plus two open-water dives near Bandar Khayran, which qualifies you to dive to 12 metres under professional supervision. You can later upgrade to the full SSI Open Water Diver rating.
SSI Scuba Diver is a recognised subset of the Open Water Diver rating, which certifies you to 12 metres with a professional. The remaining modules and dives upgrade you to full SSI Open Water Diver.
SSI Scuba Diver training uses confined-water areas and shallow reefs near Muscat and Bandar Khayran, where warm 24-30C water and calm conditions support comfortable early open-water dives.
