Course overview

Earn a quick entry-level certification with the SSI Scuba Diver course in the Seychelles, a shortened pathway that suits limited trip time. You learn the essential skills in the calm, sheltered shallows near Beau Vallon on Mahe and complete supervised dives over coral and granite reef. The certification allows diving to 12 metres with a professional and upgrades smoothly to full Open Water Diver.

What you’ll learn

• Set up, use and maintain scuba equipment
• Perform core safety skills like mask clearing and regulator recovery

Prerequisites

• Minimum age 10 (Junior) or 15
• No prior certification required
• Adequate swimming ability and water comfort
• Medical questionnaire (physician sign-off if indicated)

1. Day1
   Theory & confined water

   Complete the digital theory and confined-water skills in the sheltered shallows near Beau Vallon.
2. Day2
   Open-water dives

   Two supervised open-water dives to a maximum of 12 metres on Mahe's reefs, then certify.
