Get certified faster with the SSI Scuba Diver course in Tarkarli-Malvan, a shorter alternative to the full Open Water Diver. Through MySSI theory and two open-water dives in the calm, sheltered bay beside Sindhudurg Fort, you qualify to dive to 12 metres under the supervision of an SSI professional.
SSI Scuba Diver is a scaled-down version of Open Water Diver delivered through MySSI, certifying you to 12 metres under professional supervision. It credits directly toward the full SSI Open Water Diver rating.
Training uses the sheltered, shallow bay off Tarkarli and Malvan, beside Sindhudurg Fort. The water is calm, shallow, clear and warm at 26-29C, and in the post-monsoon October-to-May season the Konkan coast stays calm and clear, which gives new divers a forgiving introduction. The limited depth suits the sheltered bay well.
