SSI Specialty Courses let you tailor your diving to Rasdhoo Atoll's strengths, choosing from focused programs such as Deep, Perfect Buoyancy, Navigation, Night, Enriched Air Nitrox and Shark Ecology. Each specialty sharpens a specific skill set on the atoll's reefs, walls and channels, and completed specialties stack toward SSI Specialty Diver and Master Diver recognition.
SSI Specialty Courses are delivered through the SSI digital platform, and completing a set number of specialties plus logged dives automatically unlocks the Specialty Diver, Advanced Open Water and Master Diver recognition ratings. Popular Rasdhoo choices include Deep, Navigation, Perfect Buoyancy, Enriched Air Nitrox and Shark Ecology.
Specialties are matched to the right Rasdhoo sites, with deep training on outer walls like Bodu Gaa, navigation and buoyancy on contoured reefs such as Holhi Faru, and shark-ecology dives at the corner and channel sites where grey reef sharks gather. The calm November-to-April season suits all of them.
