Course overview

Explore Coron's WWII Japanese wreck fleet with the SSI Wreck Diving specialty, which gives you the training to dive these historic ships safely. Across four dives on wrecks such as the Olympia Maru and Okikawa Maru in warm 27-29C water, you learn survey, mapping and orientation techniques through SSI's digital platform and in-water sessions. You finish certified to plan and enjoy wreck dives with confidence.

Prerequisites

• Minimum age 15
• SSI Open Water Diver (Advanced Adventurer recommended for deeper wrecks)
• Diver medical clearance signed by a physician
• Good buoyancy control and open-water comfort

Day-by-day itinerary

1. Day1
   Orientation & survey

   Complete the SSI digital theory, then two dives on external survey and orientation on wrecks such as the Olympia Maru.
2. Day2
   Mapping & safe practice

   Two further dives covering wreck mapping and safe, limited overhead awareness on ships such as the Okikawa Maru, then certification.
