Course overview

Learn to dive shipwrecks safely with the SSI Wreck Diving specialty in Cyprus, home to the Zenobia, one of the world's finest wreck dives. Across your training dives you build survey, mapping and safe-penetration skills on the Zenobia and the more compact Nemesis III.

What you’ll learn

• Plan and execute safe wreck dives and surveys
• Map wrecks and identify hazards and access points
• Lay and follow guidelines for safe limited penetration
• Control buoyancy and avoid silt-outs inside structure
• Apply wreck-diving etiquette and conservation

Prerequisites

• Minimum age 15 (junior version with depth limits)
• SSI Advanced Adventurer or equivalent experience
• Comfort diving to wreck depths
• Diver medical clearance signed by a physician

Day-by-day itinerary

1. Day1
   Survey and mapping

   SSI digital theory, then dives focused on surveying and mapping the exterior of the Zenobia wreck.
2. Day2
   Penetration techniques

   Practise guideline use and safe limited penetration, then complete certification.
