The SSI Wreck Diving specialty contributes toward the SSI Specialty Diver and Master Diver recognitions, with theory delivered digitally and certification logged in the SSI app. Penetration is taught within recreational limits to SSI standards.
Training takes place on Hikkaduwa's wreck sites at roughly 18 to 30 metres, which attract plenty of reef life. The calm, clear November-to-April season gives the stable conditions and visibility that suit wreck work.
