Course overview

Dive Hurghada's Red Sea wrecks on the SSI Wreck Diving specialty, exploring famous hulls like the Salem Express and the cargo ships scattered around Abu Nuhas reef. Across the program you learn to survey, map and navigate wrecks safely, mastering line technique and hazard awareness. You finish certified to enjoy wreck sites with skill and confidence.

• Survey and sketch a wreck's layout and structure
• Deploy reels and guidelines for a constant exit reference
• Identify wreck-specific hazards including silt-out and entanglement
• Manage buoyancy and trim precisely around fragile structures
• Understand the history and conservation of wreck sites

Prerequisites

• Minimum age 15
• SSI Advanced Adventurer or equivalent certification
• Solid buoyancy and navigation skills
• Medical clearance to dive signed by a physician

Day-by-day itinerary

1. Day1
   Theory & survey dives

   Cover SSI wreck theory and complete the first survey and mapping dives on a Red Sea wreck.
2. Day2
   Navigation & certification

   Practise line use and wreck navigation on sites such as Abu Nuhas, then complete the certification.
