SSI Wreck Diving is a specialty delivered through MySSI that covers survey, mapping and safe limited penetration, and it counts toward SSI specialty recognition.
North-male-atoll's wrecks sit on or near reef walls, draped in coral and home to schooling fish, sweetlips and reef sharks, which makes them ideal terrain for survey and mapping practice. The diving season peaks from November to April, when visibility is best across the atoll's channels and reefs. Water stays warm at 27-30°C year-round, with moderate currents on the channel sites.
