Malaysia caps the number of Sipadan permits issued each day, so they go out in rotation. Reserving early is the surest way to lock in your permit days, which is one more reason the 100-day window matters.

The Sipadan wall and its current reward experience. Around 40 dives and an AOW card keep you safe and unhurried on the deeper, faster sites.
What's the macro like at Mabul?
It is among the best anywhere. Frogfish, mandarinfish, pygmy seahorses and unusual nudibranchs turn up on almost every dive.
