About lusong gunboat

Lusong Gunboat is a small Japanese gunboat sunk in the 24 September 1944 strike on Coron Bay. Her stern breaks the surface, which makes her a snorkel destination as well as a dive.

Maximum depth is about 11 m. The hull is encrusted in hard and soft corals, visually one of the prettiest wrecks in the bay. Reef fish, batfish and occasional turtles. The 0–5 m sections suit snorkelers.

Snorkel access is open to anyone; Open Water is enough for the full dive. Day boats from Coron run her on every wreck circuit, often paired with Olympia Maru or East Tangat for a relaxed wreck day.
