Maldives' protected wreck off Hulhulé, where currents make it advanced only.
Maldive Victory was an 80 m cargo ship en route from Singapore that struck a reef off Hulhulé near Male International Airport on 13 February 1981. She lies on her starboard side at 15–37 m and is protected as part of the Maldives' marine reserve network.
She is penetrable and the hull is fully encrusted with corals. Marine life is varied: schooling jacks, snappers, reef sharks and eagle rays. The dive sits in the reef channel where current is significant.
Advanced Open Water is required; strong currents rule her out for less experienced divers. Day boats from North Malé Atoll resorts visit her. Best Dec–Apr.
