Okikawa Maru was a 168 m Japanese oil tanker sunk in the 24 September 1944 US strike. She is one of the largest wrecks in Coron Bay: main deck at 10–16 m, the bottom at 26 m. Penetration is straightforward and she has become the standard Wreck Diving Specialty training site in the region.
Marine life is varied: large schools of fusiliers, groupers, batfish, lionfish in the shadows and occasional turtles. The hull has thick soft-coral growth in the shallow sections.
Advanced Open Water plus Wreck specialty for penetration; AOW alone for the external swim. Day boats from Coron town run her year-round.
