Course overview

The PADI Advanced Open Water Diver course on Karnataka's Murdeshwar coast builds on your certification and takes you deeper on Netrani Island's reef. Across five adventure dives, including the required deep and underwater navigation dives, you extend your limit to 30 metres and sample specialties such as fish identification on the island's fish-rich reef. You finish certified as a PADI Advanced Open Water Diver.

What you’ll learn

• Plan and conduct deep dives to a maximum of 30 metres
• Navigate underwater using natural references and a compass
• Try three additional adventure dives such as fish ID, peak performance buoyancy or drift
• Manage depth, gas and dive time across a multi-dive day
• Improve buoyancy and trim over the reef
• Build the experience needed for Rescue Diver and specialty courses

Prerequisites

• Minimum age 12 (Junior Advanced Open Water)
• PADI Open Water Diver (or a qualifying certification from another agency)
• Basic comfort and skills from entry-level certification
• Diver medical clearance signed by a physician where required

Day-by-day itinerary

1. Day1
   Navigation & two adventure dives

   Complete the Underwater Navigation dive plus one elective adventure dive on the reef, with knowledge reviews between dives.
2. Day2
   Deep dive & electives

   Make the Deep adventure dive toward 30 metres and your remaining elective dives at Netrani, then certify.
