Course overview

The PADI Advanced Open Water course on Tioman builds on your Open Water certification with five adventure dives that extend your depth to 30 metres and broaden your skills. Diving sites like Renggis Island and Tiger Reef, you complete the required deep and underwater-navigation dives plus three more of your choice, and you finish a more capable, versatile diver.

What you’ll learn

• Plan and execute dives to 30 metres on the deep adventure dive
• Navigate accurately by compass and natural references
• Sample three further adventure specialties such as wreck, night or buoyancy
• Improve buoyancy, trim and air management at depth
• Apply dive planning and gas management to varied conditions
• Build confidence diving Tioman's deeper reefs and structures

Prerequisites

• Minimum age 12 (Junior Advanced Open Water) or 15
• PADI Open Water Diver or qualifying certification from another agency
• Basic comfort in the water
• Diver medical clearance signed by a physician

Day-by-day itinerary

1. Day1
   Deep and navigation

   Complete the deep adventure dive to 30 metres and the underwater-navigation dive at sites such as Renggis Island.
2. Day2
   Elective adventure dives

   Three further adventure dives of your choice, such as wreck, night or buoyancy, at sites like Tiger Reef, then certify.
