Extend your range to 40 metres with the PADI Deep Diver specialty in Djibouti, exploring the walls and drop-offs of the Gulf of Tadjoura where the Red Sea descends toward the Indian Ocean. Over four dives you learn deep-dive planning, gas management and how to recognise and manage narcosis, opening up the deeper reef and pelagic action this region is known for.
The PADI Deep Diver specialty certifies you to plan and conduct dives to the recreational limit of 40 metres and counts toward the Master Scuba Diver rating. One qualifying deep dive can also credit toward the Advanced Open Water course.
Deep training uses the walls and drop-offs of the Gulf of Tadjoura, where the seabed falls away quickly. Calm-to-moderate conditions with warm 24-30°C water through the October-to-February peak give a safe environment to build depth experience.
