Course overview

Push your limit to 40 metres with the SSI Deep Diving specialty in Djibouti, exploring the steep walls and drop-offs of the Gulf of Tadjoura where the Red Sea descends toward the Indian Ocean. Through SSI digital learning and guided dives you learn deep-dive planning, gas management and narcosis awareness, opening up the deeper reef structures and pelagic encounters this quiet region offers.

• Recognise and manage nitrogen narcosis
• Track air consumption and ascend safely with adequate reserves

Prerequisites

• Minimum age 15
• SSI Advanced Adventurer or equivalent certification
• Comfortable buoyancy and dive-planning skills
• Diver medical clearance signed by a physician

Day-by-day itinerary

1. Day1
   Theory and first dives

   Complete SSI deep-dive theory and planning, then begin the deeper dives on a Gulf of Tadjoura wall.
2. Day2
   To 40 metres and certify

   Apply narcosis checks and gas management while progressing toward 40 metres to finish the course.
