Course overview

Extend your range to recreational depths with the PADI Deep Diver specialty in Moalboal, Cebu, where the Panagsama reef wall and the offshore Sunken Island pinnacle drop well past 30 metres. Across four dives this scuba diving course teaches deep-dive planning, gas management and how to recognise narcosis on sites that fall away into the blue near Pescador Island. You finish certified to dive to the recreational limit of 40 metres.

What you’ll learn

• Plan and execute dives to recreational depths down to 40 metres
• Manage air supply, no-decompression limits and safety stops at depth
• Recognise and respond to nitrogen narcosis
• Use a reference line and monitor your buddy at depth
• Account for the effects of depth on colour, light and gas consumption
• Carry and deploy a delayed surface marker buoy

Prerequisites

• Minimum age 15
• PADI Adventure Diver or Advanced Open Water Diver
• Comfortable buoyancy and air management
• Diver medical clearance signed by a physician

Day-by-day itinerary

1. Day1
   Deep-dive planning

   Knowledge review, then two progressively deeper dives on the Panagsama reef wall, including narcosis-awareness checks.
2. Day2
   To 40 metres

   Two deeper dives toward 40 metres at Sunken Island or the Pescador Island drop-offs, with DSMB and reference-line practice.
