Extend your range to PADI Deep Diver standard in north-male-atoll, where channel walls and drop-offs fall away beyond recreational depths. Across four dives you learn to plan and manage dives to 40 metres while monitoring gas and narcosis, so you can safely explore the deeper reef structures and big-fish action the atoll is known for.
The PADI Deep Diver course comprises four training dives and extends your certified limit to 40 metres, the recreational maximum. It counts toward the Master Scuba Diver rating.
Deep dives use north-male-atoll's channel walls and drop-offs, where reef structure continues into deeper water and currents can attract sharks and pelagics. The diving season peaks from November to April, when visibility is best across the atoll's channels and reefs. Water stays warm at 27-30°C year-round, with moderate currents on the channel sites.
