Course overview

PADI Discover Scuba Diving is the easiest way to try diving in Alor, an instructor-led introduction with no certification required. After a short safety briefing you breathe underwater for the first time on a shallow, sheltered reef, getting a taste of the marine life that makes this remote Indonesian island worth the trip.

What you’ll learn

• Breathe comfortably underwater using scuba equipment
• Equalise your ears and clear your mask
• Achieve basic buoyancy and move around underwater

Prerequisites

• Minimum age 10
• No experience or swimming certification required
• Basic comfort in water

• Able to complete a brief medical questionnaire
