Course overview

Try scuba for the first time with PADI Discover Scuba Diving in Fiji, an introductory experience that takes complete beginners from a short briefing into the warm, clear water of Beqa Lagoon's soft-coral reefs. Under direct instructor supervision you breathe underwater and explore a shallow site full of tropical fish, with no certification or experience needed. It is the easiest way to sample Fiji's diving.

What you’ll learn

• Breathe comfortably underwater using scuba equipment
• Equalise your ears and clear your mask
• Recover and clear the regulator
• Move and control yourself underwater with basic buoyancy
• Communicate with simple hand signals
• Follow your instructor safely on a shallow reef

Prerequisites

• Minimum age 10
• No experience or swimming certification required
• Able to be comfortable in water
• Complete a brief medical questionnaire
