Course overview

Try scuba for the first time in the planet's most biodiverse reefs with the PADI Discover Scuba Diving experience in Raja Ampat. Under the direct supervision of a PADI professional, you breathe underwater in the calm shallows around Mansuar Island and explore coral to a maximum of 12 metres. No certification or prior experience is needed for this first taste of scuba diving.

What you’ll learn

• Breathe comfortably underwater on scuba
• Clear your mask and recover your regulator
• Equalise and manage gentle descents
• Move and control buoyancy basics underwater
• Communicate with simple hand signals
• Dive under direct professional supervision

Prerequisites

• No experience or certification required
• Minimum age 10
• Able to be comfortable in water
• Complete a basic medical questionnaire (physician sign-off if any condition applies)
