Course overview

Take your first breaths underwater with the SSI Try Scuba experience in Raja Ampat, among the reefs of the Coral Triangle. Guided one-on-one by an SSI professional, you practise basic skills and explore the calm shallows near Mansuar Island to a maximum of 12 metres. No certification or experience is required to try scuba diving this way.

What you’ll learn

• Breathe underwater comfortably on scuba
• Clear your mask and recover the regulator
• Equalise and descend gently
• Maintain basic buoyancy and movement
• Use simple underwater hand signals
• Dive with direct SSI professional supervision

Prerequisites

• No experience or certification required
• Minimum age 10
• Comfortable in the water
• Complete a basic medical questionnaire (physician sign-off if needed)
