Become a PADI Divemaster in Hikkaduwa and earn your first professional rating on Sri Lanka's south coast. Working alongside instructors on the warm house reef and coral gardens, you build the dive-leadership, mapping and supervision skills needed to guide certified divers and assist on courses. You finish certified to work as a dive professional anywhere PADI is recognised.
The PADI Divemaster is the first professional rating in the PADI system and the entry point to instructor training. Certified Divemasters can guide certified divers, run certain PADI programmes and assist instructors, and must keep their membership and insurance current to work.
Your internship and leadership dives use Hikkaduwa's house reef, coral gardens and shallow wreck sites. Calm 27-29°C water and reliable visibility through the November-to-April season give a strong setting in which to learn how to guide certified divers.
