Earn your first professional rating as an SSI Divemaster in Hikkaduwa, on Sri Lanka's south coast. Guiding and assisting on the warm house reef and coral gardens, you develop the leadership, planning and supervision skills to lead certified divers and support instructors. You finish certified to work as a dive professional wherever SSI is recognised.
SSI's professional path runs Dive Guide then Divemaster, all recorded digitally in the SSI app. As an SSI Divemaster you can guide certified divers and assist instructors, and you affiliate through an SSI Training Centre with current membership and insurance.
Guiding and practicum dives use Hikkaduwa's house reef, coral gardens and shallow wrecks. Calm 27-29°C water and good visibility from November to April give solid conditions for leading certified divers.
