Become a dive professional with the PADI Divemaster course on Maafushi, leading certified divers and assisting instructors across the Maldives' South Malé Atoll. Working from a low-cost local island with a calm house reef and easy day-boat access to sites like Maafushi Corner and Kandooma Thila, you build the stamina, dive-theory knowledge and leadership skills needed to guide divers in warm 27-30°C water. The Divemaster rating is your first PADI professional certification and the route into instructor training.
PADI Divemaster is the first professional rating in the PADI system. Once certified you can supervise and guide certified divers, assist instructors with students and, with the additional Discover Scuba Diving Leader rating, independently run certain programmes. It is the prerequisite for the PADI Instructor Development Course.
Internship dives run from Maafushi by day boat across South Malé Atoll, using Maafushi Corner, Kandooma Thila and Banana Reef for guiding practice and the calm island house reef for skill demonstration, in warm 27-30°C water that dives best November to April.
