The PADI Divemaster course on the reef-rich west coast of Mauritius is the first rung of professional diving. Based in Flic-en-Flac, you build stamina and dive-leadership skills across classic sites like Cathedral, Aquarium and Snake Reef while learning to map dive sites, guide certified divers and assist instructors with students. You finish ready to work as a certified dive professional anywhere in the world.
The PADI Divemaster rating is your first professional certification, qualifying you to supervise diving activities and assist PADI instructors. It is the prerequisite for the Instructor Development Course and is recognised at dive centres worldwide.
Internship and leadership practice take place at Flic-en-Flac's west-coast reefs, including the caverns and walls of Cathedral, the rocky reef at Aquarium and the fish-rich Snake Reef, in calm 23-28C water during the November-to-April season.
