PADI Divemaster is the first PADI professional rating and a prerequisite for the Instructor Development Course. It lets you guide certified divers and assist instructors worldwide, and membership is renewed annually.
Divemaster training runs from the sheltered, shallow bay off Tarkarli and Malvan, beside Sindhudurg Fort, and the boat-accessed reefs offshore. The water is warm at 26-29C, and in the post-monsoon October-to-May season the Konkan coast stays calm and clear, which makes an approachable internship environment close to Mumbai and Pune.
