Course overview

The Emergency First Response (EFR) course on Koh Tao teaches you to respond confidently to emergencies. It is a non-diving first-aid program that pairs naturally with the island's busy dive scene, covering CPR, first aid and the primary and secondary care skills required for the PADI Rescue Diver course and professional ratings.

• No age minimum for general participation
• No prior experience or certification required

Day-by-day itinerary

1. Day1
   Primary care (CPR)

   Learn and practise scene assessment, barrier use and CPR on a non-breathing patient.
2. Day1
   Secondary care (first aid)

   Practise first-aid skills for injuries and illness, including bandaging and splinting.
3. Day1
   Scenarios & oxygen

   Run emergency scenarios and cover AED awareness and emergency-oxygen orientation.
